NEW DELHI: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) convener and Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal on Sunday launched a scathing attack on Prime Minister Narendra Modi against the Centre’s ordinance on control of services in the national capital, and said that if not stopped now, similar ordinances will be brought for other states too.
Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann, AAP ministers and a large number of party workers were present for the ‘maha rally’ at Ramlila Maidan in the national capital.
“The Modi government rejected the decision of the Supreme Court to take away the rights of the people of Delhi. Prime Minister says he doesn’t believe in Supreme court. This has happened for the first time in 75 years of independence. Democracy is ending is the country,” said Kejriwal.
Kejriwal also attacked the government over inflation, rising prices of fuel and essential items.
Stating that BJP is Bharatiya Jugad Party, Bhagwant Mann said that the BJP doesn’t want any other party’s government. “If the party fails to form the govt in any state, it tries to do so by some jugad.”
“Arvind Kejriwal is Delhi’s CM. If he can’t work, cant give order to officers, suspend them, then how will system work,” Mann asked.

  • Here’s what Arvind Kejriwal said at AAP’s rally:

– The Modi government rejected the decision of the Supreme Court to take away the rights of the people of Delhi.
– PM Modi’s ordinance says that there won’t be jantantra (democracy) in Delhi, only taanshahi will work and not people but LG is supreme.
– PM Modi changed constitution of India. He says people not supreme, there is no value of the vote of the people of Delhi.
– BJP abuses, insults me everyday, but I don’t care about it. I am busy in my work.
– You people have given me responsibilities. I work 24X7, but I can’t tolerate insult of the people of Delhi.
– People from West Bengal, UP, Kerala, Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu are with you. 140 crore people will oppose the ordinance to save jantantra.
– The ordinance passed in Delhi, will also be imposed in Rajasthan, Punjab, MP, Maharashtra. It has to be stopped now.
– I appeal to people to compare Kejriwal’s 8 years and Modi Ji’s 21 years. They (BJP) can’t do good work, but they try to stop all the good work that is taking place in the country.
